Canada and Ontario to Announce Extension of Early Learning and Child Care Agreement
Federal and provincial ministers will announce the extension of the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement in Vaughan, Ontario, on September 29, 2026.
The Governments of Canada and Ontario are scheduled to announce an extension to the Canada–Ontario Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement. The announcement will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. EDT.
The event is set to be held at the YMCA Child Care Centre, The David Braley Vaughan Centre, located at 200 Apple Mill Road in Vaughan, Ontario.
Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families, and Honourable Paul Calandra, Ontario’s Minister of Education, will make the announcement. Leslie Church, Parliamentary Secretary to several Secretaries of State and the Minister of Jobs and Families, will accompany the ministers.
