Authorized by Health Canada, the Dexcom G7 15 Day is described as the longest-lasting and most accurate continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system in the country. It offers up to 15.5 days of sensor wear time and has an overall Mean Absolute Relative Difference (MARD) of 8.0%. The extended wear time results in fewer sensor changes per month and reduced waste.

The system features direct connectivity to Apple Watch, allowing users to view glucose numbers without a phone and leave their phone behind while monitoring glucose. It also includes a 12-hour grace period to replace finished sensors, enabling a more seamless transition between sessions.

Public reimbursement for the Dexcom G7 15 Day will begin in November for many eligible Canadians with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, increasing accessibility. Additionally, private health plans covering CGMs are expected to add coverage for the system in November.
