According to the CFO, the proposed agreement is intended to formally back up claims made by the company regarding the project's potential effects. Specifically, EverWind Fuels aims to put in writing its assurances that building the data centre in Point Tupper will not impact local water supplies.

In addition to addressing water concerns, the proposed MOU or legal agreement is also meant to support the company's claim that the facility will not raise power rates in Nova Scotia.

The proposal was reported by the Halifax Examiner.
