On October 26, 2026, the Government of Canada announced a $225,000 repayable investment to support GeoSpectrum Technologies Incorporated in expanding and modernizing its facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Braedon Clark, Member of Parliament for Sackville—Bedford—Preston, made the announcement on behalf of Minister Sean Fraser.

The funding is provided through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency’s (ACOA) Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program. It will help reconfigure and upgrade manufacturing, engineering, and testing space at the Dartmouth site to accommodate more people and production. The expansion is intended to meet growing global demand for underwater acoustic systems, sonar, and maritime surveillance technologies.
GeoSpectrum expects to occupy approximately 104,000 square feet in Dartmouth by the end of 2026, an increase from approximately 81,000 square feet in 2025. The project is expected to create 40 full-time jobs. The company currently employs approximately 300 people.

Founded in 1994, GeoSpectrum Technologies designs underwater acoustic components and integrated sonar systems for defence, commercial, and research applications.
