Successful applicants receive training, guidance, and funding for their neighbourhood projects. The initiative aligns with the municipality's 2026-2030 Strategic Plan by supporting welcoming and livable communities.

Three funding streams are available for applicants:

  • Placemaking Art offers $3,000 to $7,000 in support funding for projects that hire an artist.
  • Environmental Placemaking offers $3,000 to $10,000 in support funding for projects contributing to climate resilience and sustainability.
