The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to provide feedback on the proposed redevelopment of the St. Mary’s Boat Club, a historic waterfront facility in Halifax.

The building regularly experiences flooding associated with rising sea levels, extreme tides, and significant storm events. The proposed redevelopment aims to address these climate resiliency challenges, improve accessibility, and support the long-term sustainability of the site.
The project is currently in the pre-design phase, and public feedback will inform future design considerations.
A public open house regarding the project is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will be held at St. Mary’s Boat Club, located at 1641 Fairfield Road, Halifax.
