Angus L. Macdonald Bridge to Close This Weekend for Post-Project Cleanup

This activity follows the completion of Project Lifespan, a two-year initiative with a cost of $70 million. The project involved stripping old paint from both bridge towers and performing necessary inspections and repairs. According to officials, these efforts are expected to ensure the structural integrity of the bridge for the next 70 years.
Pedestrians and cyclists affected by the weekend closure can access free transit tickets. These tickets are available for pickup 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but only at the Halifax Harbour Bridges’ operations centre located on Wyse Road in Dartmouth, N.S.
