Iran Conveys Seven Negotiation Conditions to US via Qatar and Pakistan
Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei announced that Iran has sent seven negotiation conditions to the United States through mediators Qatar and Pakistan. The demands include ending US military actions, unfreezing assets, and lifting a naval blockade. While awaiting a response from President Trump, Rezaei stated Iran is prepared for further strikes, which he assessed as highly likely.
Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated on September 19 that Iran has conveyed its negotiation conditions to the US government. These communications are being facilitated by mediators Qatar and Pakistan, with Qatar having transmitted Iran's conditions to the US side.
Iran's key demands include the end of all US military operations against Iran, the unfreezing of Iranian assets, and the cessation of the naval blockade. Rezaei noted that Iran is currently waiting for a response from US President Donald Trump regarding these seven specific conditions.
Regarding the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Rezaei stated that Iran has not yet decided to withdraw, emphasizing that such a decision depends on Washington's actions. However, he assessed the likelihood of new US strikes on Iran as "very high" based on military evaluations, while affirming that Tehran is prepared to respond.
Iran's military strategy has shifted to focus on targeting US forces in the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Arabian Sea, excluding targets beyond this range. This development follows previous negotiations that stalled after renewed military conflicts, despite a memorandum of understanding signed in June which stipulated a 60-day timeline for final agreement talks.
