U.S. Financing Company Sues Halifax Hip-Hop Festival Organizer for Over $285,000

Orange Funding LLC has filed a lawsuit in New York against Magnetic World Music Festival Inc., alleging the Halifax-based hip-hop event organizer defaulted on a 2025 financing agreement.

A U.S.-based financing company is suing the organizer of a Halifax hip-hop music event, alleging default on a funding agreement worth more than $285,000.

Orange Funding LLC filed the lawsuit against Magnetic World Music Festival Inc. in the New York County Supreme Court on April 28, 2026. The complaint was later amended on June 24, 2026. The plaintiff is seeking $285,118.75, plus statutory interest at nine percent and attorney fees of $57,023.75.

According to the filing, Orange Funding alleges that Magnetic World defaulted on a financing agreement entered into on May 5, 2025. The complaint states that Bradley "Brady" Dedam, the founder and CEO of the festival, executed a personal guarantee for the funding agreement.

Willem Gagnon, a director of Magnetic World Music Festival Inc., has been successfully served notice of the lawsuit. Legal records do not detail whether Dedam has been served.

Magnetic World Music Festival recently capped off its fourth event in Halifax. Neither party has commented publicly on the litigation, and none of the allegations made by Orange Funding LLC have been proven in court.
