Nova Scotia's 'Building Our Budget Together' Consultation Closes October 16
The Nova Scotia government's pre-budget consultation, described as the broadest in the province to date, wraps up on Friday, October 16. Feedback gathered through online submissions and nine sessions will inform the 2027-28 provincial budget.
The Nova Scotia government's "Building Our Budget Together" consultation is scheduled to close on Friday, October 16. Launched on September 11, the initiative has been described as the broadest pre-budget consultation conducted in the province to date.
The process included six in-person sessions and three virtual sessions held across Nova Scotia. Global Public Affairs was hired to run the in-person and virtual consultation sessions, while other work associated with the process was handled by civil servants.
Twila Grosse, Minister of the Public Service Commission, serves as Chair of the independent budget consultation advisory committee overseeing the effort.
Feedback collected during the consultation will be considered as the Province prepares its 2027-28 budget. A "What We Heard" report summarizing the input will be published before that budget is released.
