Overnight Road Repairs on Sackville Drive to Cause Delays and Bus Stop Closures in October 2026
The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced overnight road repairs on Sackville Drive from October 19 to October 23, 2026. The work will result in traffic delays, altered centerlines or lane drops, and the closure of multiple bus stops.
The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced that road repairs will take place on Sackville Drive between Beaver Bank Road and Florence Street from Monday, Oct. 19 to Friday, Oct. 23, 2026. Construction crews are scheduled to work overnight each day from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Drivers traveling through the area should expect traffic delays during the work period due to an altered centerline or lane drop. In addition to impacts on vehicle traffic, multiple bus stops along the route will be closed because of the construction, affecting Halifax Transit routes.
According to the municipality, the repairs support the Moving Better goals outlined in the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan.
