Halifax Police Seek Public Help to Identify Dartmouth Robbery Suspect Who Threatened Woman with Needle

Halifax Regional Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who allegedly threatened a woman with a needle at a Dartmouth gas station on September 21, forced her to withdraw cash from an ATM, and fled with the money.

Halifax Regional Police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that took place in Dartmouth on September 21 at approximately 7:45 p.m.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Esso gas station located at 174 Ochterloney Street. According to police, a man approached a woman's parked vehicle, entered it, and threatened her with a needle. The suspect then demanded that the woman drive to an ATM to obtain cash.

After withdrawing the money, the suspect directed the woman to drive him to downtown Dartmouth. He exited the vehicle there and fled with a quantity of cash. The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

Police describe the suspect as a white man with long light brown hair and a beard. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a thin black jacket, a blue bandana, a black hoodie, black pants, gloves, and grey and white sneakers.

The investigation is being led by members of the Integrated General Investigation Section.
