Public Works Minister Fred Tilley stated that frequent, reliable, and affordable transit provides more options to access jobs, schools, healthcare, and daily needs. Joyce Carter, President and CEO of the Halifax International Airport Authority, expressed support for the initiative to improve regional transit connections, noting it would enhance the travel experience for airport workers and travellers.

The establishment of an inter-municipal transit service is recommended under Action 1.3.1 of the Regional Transportation Plan. The broader plan envisions an integrated regional transit network that includes inter-municipal transit, bus rapid transit, ferry service, and expanded community transportation options.
