The Colchester County RCMP issued the emergency alert earlier in the day regarding a dangerous person believed to be armed. The operation took place on Belmont Road, leading to the closure of Plains Road and Onslow Mountain Road. Residents were urged to avoid the area while police responded to the situation.
By noon, the RCMP clarified that the incident was "not a standoff situation." Authorities reported no injuries and confirmed that no shots were fired during the operation.
The emergency alert has since been lifted, and residents are no longer advised to shelter in place.
