Halifax Announces Windmill Road Closure for Utility Work

The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced that Windmill Road will be closed between Wyse Road and Lyle Street starting Monday, July 20, through Friday, Oct. 9.
The closure is necessary to facilitate underground utility connections related to a nearby development project. During this period, the westbound lane of Windmill Road will be closed to traffic. However, the eastbound lane will remain open, and access for local traffic will be maintained.
Pedestrians should also take note, as the sidewalk along the north side of Windmill Road will be closed throughout the duration of the work. Signage will be in place to guide pedestrians around the affected area.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and to follow detour routes indicated by signage. The municipality notes that there may be potential impacts to Halifax Transit routes and bus stops in the vicinity.
