Youth Arrested After Scissors Assault at Halifax Junior High School

Police in Halifax are investigating a weapons incident that occurred at a local school earlier today. The event took place at approximately 11:40 a.m. at St. Agnes Junior High School, located at 6981 Mumford Road.
According to reports, one youth assaulted another using a pair of scissors. Officers responded to the scene and arrested the suspect without further incident. No other injuries were reported during the confrontation.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. Authorities state that the injuries sustained are believed to be non-life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing under reference number 26-34088.
