Environment Canada has issued yellow rainfall warnings for parts of northern and eastern Nova Scotia, with expected rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 millimetres. Additionally, wind warnings have been issued for the south coast of Newfoundland, where gusts could reach up to 100 kilometres per hour on Friday afternoon and evening.

Earlier this week, the storm brought rain and heavy winds to the U.S. Eastern Seaboard, disrupting travel plans. Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, which departed Cape Liberty, New Jersey, on Sunday carrying 5,000 passengers, was forced to divert from its planned route to Florida and the Bahamas due to the storm conditions. The cruise ship instead docked in Halifax on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
