Traffic Delays Expected on Herring Cove Road for Gas Pipeline Installation
Drivers should anticipate delays on Herring Cove Road at 16 Herring Cove Road from Wednesday, September 30 to Thursday, October 1, between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m., due to natural gas service pipeline installation work.
The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced that traffic delays are expected on Herring Cove Road at the location of 16 Herring Cove Road. The disruptions are scheduled to occur from Wednesday, September 30, through Thursday, October 1, during the overnight hours between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m.
The delays are caused by work necessary to facilitate the installation of a natural gas service pipeline. While two-way traffic will be maintained at all times during this period, drivers are advised to expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes where possible.
In addition to vehicle impacts, pedestrian access will also change. The north sidewalk will be closed for the duration of the work, with signed pedestrian detours in place to guide walkers around the construction zone.
