Road Repairs to Cause Traffic Delays on Chain Lake Drive in Halifax

The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced scheduled traffic delays on Chain Lake Drive for road repairs on four dates between late September and early October, with work running from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced that traffic delays are expected on Chain Lake Drive between Lovett Lake Court and the Chain of Lakes Trail due to scheduled road repairs.

Work is set to take place on Wednesday, Sept. 30; Monday, Oct. 5; Wednesday, Oct. 7; and Thursday, Oct. 8. Crews will be active from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on each of those days.

During the repair work, a single lane drop will be in place on Chain Lake Drive. Additionally, the bike lane heading towards Lakeland Boulevard will be closed. Drivers are asked to use alternative routes where possible due to the expected delays.

The municipality stated that the work facilitates road repairs in support of Moving Better goals outlined in its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan.
