Bedford Highway Traffic Delays Expected Over Weekend for Windsor Street Exchange Work
The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced traffic delays on Bedford Highway between Windsor Street and Joseph Howe Drive ramps from Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. to Monday, Nov. 2 at 6 a.m. The work supports construction of a detour road for future phases of the Windsor Street Exchange project.
The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced scheduled traffic delays on Bedford Highway between Windsor Street and the Joseph Howe Drive ramps. The disruption will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30 and continue until 6 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2.
The construction work is intended to facilitate the building of a detour road that will support future phases of the Windsor Street Exchange project. During this period, two-way traffic will be maintained, but drivers should expect lane reductions in both directions.
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and use alternative routes where possible. Potential impacts to Halifax Transit routes and bus stops may also occur during the weekend work.
