Traffic Delays Expected on Dutch Village Road for Final Stages of Complete Streets Project
The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced weekday traffic delays on Dutch Village Road from October 6 to October 16, 2024, as crews complete the final stages of the Dutch Village Road Complete Streets project. Drivers should expect stop-and-go conditions and consider alternative routes.
The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced scheduled traffic delays on Dutch Village Road between Supreme Court and the southern intersection of Joseph Howe Drive. The disruptions are set to occur from Tuesday, Oct. 6, to Friday, Oct. 16, 2024, during weekdays only.
Work will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. According to the municipality, the purpose of the work is to complete final aspects associated with the Dutch Village Road Complete Streets project.
Drivers traveling through the area should prepare for stop-and-go traffic at various locations along Dutch Village Road as the work progresses. Pedestrians may also be affected, as temporary sidewalk closures could be required at various points along the corridor. Marked detours will be in place wherever sidewalks are closed.
