The repairs are scheduled across two periods: Sunday, Oct. 18 to Friday, Oct. 23, and Sunday, Oct. 25 to Friday, Oct. 30. All work will take place overnight, with crews operating between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

During these hours, motorists should prepare for stop-and-go traffic and an altered centreline at the intersection. The municipality is asking drivers to use alternative routes where possible to avoid delays.

Traffic control personnel will be on site throughout the work to direct pedestrians and cyclists safely through the area.

According to the municipality, the road repair work supports the Moving Better goals outlined in Halifax's 2026–2030 Strategic Plan.
