Traffic Delays Expected at Spring Avenue and Portland Street Intersection Through November
The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced traffic delays at the intersection of Spring Avenue and Portland Street from Oct. 2 to Nov. 2 as crews set up traffic control devices in support of the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan.
The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced that drivers should expect traffic delays at the intersection of Spring Avenue and Portland Street beginning Friday, Oct. 2, and continuing through Tuesday, Nov. 2.
Work is scheduled to take place daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The project involves setting up traffic control devices to support the Moving Better goals outlined in the municipality's 2026–2030 Strategic Plan.
During the work period, drivers should prepare for stop-and-go traffic conditions and an altered centreline at the intersection. Traffic control personnel will be on-site throughout the scheduled hours to direct pedestrians and cyclists navigating the area.
