The Halifax Regional Municipality has announced scheduled traffic delays on Cobequid Road between Sackville Drive and Legacy Court. The disruptions are tied to utility service connection work being carried out for a nearby development.
The work is set to take place over three days. On Saturday, Oct. 17, crews will be active from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Work continues on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Monday, Oct. 19, during two windows: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
During the construction period, two-way traffic will be maintained along the affected stretch of Cobequid Road. However, drivers should prepare for lane reductions and an altered centreline, which are expected to cause delays.
The municipality is asking motorists to anticipate slower travel times through the area and to use alternative routes where possible.
