Glen Assoun Exonerated After 17 Years in Prison for 1995 Dartmouth Murder
Glen Assoun was wrongfully convicted of the 1995 murder of Brenda Way in Dartmouth, serving 17 years in prison before being fully exonerated in 2019. His story is featured on the CBC podcast series Uncover: Dead Wrong.
Brenda Way was murdered behind a Dartmouth apartment building in 1995. Four years later, in 1999, Glen Assoun was found guilty of her murder.

Assoun maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal and served 17 years in prison. The wrongful conviction kept him incarcerated until he was fully exonerated in 2019.
