Iran Executes Man Accused of Spying for Israeli Mossad
Iran has executed Hossein Pedaran, who was convicted of providing intelligence on military bases in Isfahan Province to the Israeli Mossad. The execution by hanging followed a death sentence for espionage and cooperation with Israel.
Iran carried out the execution of a man identified as Hossein Pedaran, who had been accused of providing intelligence regarding Iranian military bases to Israeli intelligence agencies.
According to reports, Pedaran supplied information concerning military bases located in Isfahan Province, central Iran, to the Mossad in exchange for money. Investigators stated that they seized confidential materials related to missiles and storage cards from his residence.
Pedaran was sentenced to death for "engaging in espionage and cooperating with Israel." The sentence was carried out by hanging. Iranian authorities did not specify when Pedaran was arrested or tried.
